Arugula — Approx. 375-385 sds/pkt. A member of the mustard family. Arugula is a tasty green salad that is perfect for the home garden. Even just a few of its leaves add a wonderfully unique peppery-sweet flavour to any type of salad. It also does not require special growing attention and can last all summer.
Basil (Cinnamon) – Approx. 60-70 sds/pkt. Native to Mexico. The leaves have a spicy cinnamon flavour that is perfect for adding taste to hot beverages. Before going to seed, it produces flowers that are deep pink with purple bracts.
Basil (Lemon) — Approx. 120-130 sds/pkt. Has slim, downy, light green foliage with a tantalizing lemon aroma and taste. Bears spikes of tiny white flowers in summer. Start seeds year-round for indoor use. Lemony flavour and aroma, are a treat in cooking or garden!
Basil (Sweet) – Approx. 390-410 sds/pkt. The pungent leaves are delicious in tomato, cheese, egg, and fish dishes. Pick anytime for fresh use and pinch tops when 15 cm (6") tall to encourage branching.
Catnip — Approx. 560-575 sds/pkt. Perfect for pet owners and garden enthusiasts alike. Catnip has a minty aroma that cats absolutely love. Dry leaves can be used in cat toys or sprinkled sparingly on cat food as a special treat. This is a great variety for both indoor and outdoor growing.
Chives — Approx. 375-400 sds/pkt. Form clumps of hollow grass-like leaves with a mild onion flavour. Left to mature, before seeding it develops attractive lavender-pink flowers. Some delicious options include soups, salads, cheese, and egg dishes. This versatile herb can be dried or frozen.
Cilantro – Approx. 120-130 sds/pkt. Also known as Chinese Parsley. Popular for its spicy flavour, it is a mainstay of many Chinese and Latin American dishes. Use as a flavouring in curries, chilli sauces, bread, sauces and pickles. This variety is quick to flower.
Dill — Approx. 425-450 sds/pkt. A must for all herb gardens! The tall plants are topped with clusters of tiny yellow flowers on the tips of an array of central stems. Seeds and leaves are perfect for use as a flavour for fish, stews, vegetables, poultry, pickles, and salads.
Dill (Fernleaf) — Approx. 200-225 sds/pkt. Grows in compact, bushy plants with finely cut, dark green leaves. Harvest the leaves for fresh or dried use. It is especially good for flavouring sour cream and other dipping sauces. This variety is slow to bolt.
Garlic Chives — Approx. 90-115 sds/pkt. Grows grass-like leaves with a mild garlic taste. An ideal herb for those who love the taste of garlic, but wish to avoid its pungent aroma. Unlike regular garlic, they do not leave a strong smell on the fingers or in the mouth.
Lavender — Approx. 130-140 sds/pkt. Perfect for adding a touch of beauty and relaxation to any outdoor space. Lavender is best loved for its pleasant scent. Grow and harvest your own lavender for use in teas, oils, and more. The plant is said to repel moths, flies, and mosquitoes.
Mint — A very hardy perennial with a strong scent. Pick freely for use in salads, jellies and teas. Mint tends to overpower the garden if not kept in check. This perennial herb is hardy to Zone 3.
